Today’s report is as miserable as the weather, no reports of any significant catches as the rain lashed down at times but mainly misty rain throughout the day, it will be interesting to see the amount of rainfall in tomorrow’s notes but to be honest it wouldn’t surprise me that some of the Currane anglers had their Inny C&R hats on today. Wind SW moderate to fresh, veered WSW, West. Yesterday’s weather, amount of rainfall 2.8mm, amount of sunshine 0hrs.7mins, maximum air temperature 16.6c.

7/8/2024. I was talking to one Currane angler this evening and I quote, just a few brown Trout today, but what do you expect with a low lake and there is no argument to that. Wind fresh, West veered WSW, followed by good cloud cover and rain at times. Yesterday’s weather, amount of rainfall 2.1mm, amount of sunshine 1hrs.8mins, maximum air temperature 17.3c.

6/8/2024. We start on the big lake, there were five boats out, the Currane fly anglers were in good form with two C&R Sea trout and followed by a few nice Brown Trout to finish their day off, now we head across the valley to the river Inny, as always, the Inny farmer gives his report. Hi Vince, at least two Salmon caught and released. Wind, fresh WSW veered West, followed good cloud cover and the odd heavy shower. Yesterday’s weather, amount of rainfall 3.9mm, amount of sunshine 9hrs.two mins, maximum air temperature 18.3c.

5/8/2024. This Bank Holiday Monday, there were 10 boats reported out and no reports as of yet. Wind moderate NNW veered NW, WNW, W. Yesterday’s weather, amount of rainfall 3.1mm, amount of sunshine 0hrs.0mins, maximum air temperature 17.6c.

4/8/2024. An Anonymous Currane angler reports his catch and release photos. The stage is yours. Hi Vincent, went out in the wind at 4pm to fish for an hour and Landed (and released) one white trout and one brownie. Met three more. Now to the Currane anglers weather. Wind SSW fresh to strong, gusts up to 61 Km/h and overcast all day, followed by heavy to misty showers at times. Yesterday’s weather, amount of rainfall 1.0mm, amount of sunshine 0hrs.3mins, maximum air temperature 17.1c.

3/8/2/24.  Straight to the Lough Currane action, Currane anglers tell their story of the day, the stage is yours, Eddie. Hi Vincent. Haven't been down much this year but myself and my daughter Alana were out today and she got a lovely grilse on the troll at the front of Cummeragh around 4 ½ lbs Salmon. Now we head for the river Inny and for good reason, so we will hand over to the Inny farmer and his report. Hi Vince, the odd salmon caught on the Inny last week and 1 today on the fly. Wind moderate West followed by good cloud cover. Yesterday’s weather, amount of rainfall 9.6mm, amount of sunshine 4hrs.2mins, maximum air temperature 17.4c.

On the weather front there was a good bit of rain until about midday, total amount of rainfall I will give you all the facts in tomorrow’s notes, staying with the weather, it was very humid all day. Wind moderate SW veered WSW, NW, WNW. Yesterday’s weather, amount of rainfall 1.4mm, amount of sunshine 1hrs.3mins, maximum air temperature 19.8c.
