On August 30, 2025, Lough Currane was subject to persistent strong variable winds, South veered SSW, WSW, W, WSW, with speeds recorded at 43 km/h, 50 km/h, 43 km/h, 46 km/h, 50 km/h, 39 km/h, and 54 km/h. Occasional gusts reached up to 72 km/h. The area experienced intermittent periods of heavy showers throughout the day. Reports from Inny anglers indicated several catch-and-release (C&R) salmon, with a minimum of three observed. Two anglers were present on the Commeragh River; however, no catches were reported. Weather observations for the Waterville fishery yesterday’s weather included 0.9 mm of rainfall, a maximum air temperature of 17.3°C, and a total sunshine duration of 4 hours and 1 minute.
