It was a wild day on Lough Currane with a strong SE wind blowing across the lake, two boats did venture out to the Mouth of the Commeragh, no reports of any rod benders, I wonder why ?

Mr.Bernd Rall of Germany

All the headlines go to German Angler, Mr. Bernd Rall, who caught a fine 10lbs  Salmon on the fly, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Vincent O’Sullivan and of www.vincentsfishing.com and for the rest of we so called anglers the least said the soonest mended, Wind SE light with cloud cover at times.

5/4/13 Breaking News Sea Trout on the take.

C&R Sea Trout department and the hired out boat department of www.lakelandshouse.com PJ and Henry Keating of Co Meath, caught 2 Sea Trout ranging from 2lbs up to 2.5lbs and 1 Brown Trout of 1.5lbs all caught on the fly yesterday.

Another cold day on Lough Currane and no reports on any rod benders. Wind NE light with bright sunshine all day

All quiet on the SW front and with bright sunshine and NE wind blowing, what do you expect ?

16 lbs Wild Atlantic Salmon, 3/4/13

All the head lines go to Mr. Dave Eccelstone Of Waterville and the UK, and his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy and of www.fishingwithdom.com  and for good reason they caught a cracker of a Salmon on the fly in the 16 lbs class. Just for the record yesterdays photos were taken by Mr. Ken Towner of the UK and Waterville and there will be a  pint or two in the Lobster for you, thanks for that.

Straight to the fly department, Mr. Dave Eccelstone of the UK caught a fine 10 lbs Salmon fishing with his Gillie Mr.John Young, and in the trolling department, French Anglers from Paris, Mr. Pierre Loyer, and Arnrult  Gouben, caught 2 salmon both in the 10 lbs class wind SE fresh with reasonable cloud cover. Now quote of the day, straight to the fly department, your flies undone.

Mr. Bernd of Germany and his Gillie Mr. Vincent O’Sullivan and of  www.vincentsfishing.com  were in great form again in the fly department, with 2 Salmon ranging 9lbs up to 12 lbs and I can tell you they did well considering wild and gusty winds coming from the SE and overcast. Just for the record the photos of these fine Salmon were taken by Mr. Ken Toner of Waterville and the UK.
