31/8/10

Very few boats out, and what boats were out failed miserably in their duties, but I can you, Dutch Angler, Mr. Tim Valderlaan would beg to differ and for good reason, he caught 13 Sea Juniors on the fly, Tim was with his Gillie Mr. Terence Wharton, now we head for the hired out department, Mr. Bill Bullick and Mr. Malcolm Davidson caught a fine grilse and finished the day off with 4 Sea trout, staying in the hired out Boat department, Mr. John Cronin has had 10 Sea Trout in the last 3 days. Now to the poaching department, our Manger Mr. Trevor Stafford of http://www.loughcurrane.com/ is reporting some catches on the higher Lakes, so lets head upstream to Lough Cloonaghlin , Mr Mathew Watt, caught 3 Sea Trout up to 2.5lbs and added a few Brown Trout to his basket, Mathew was fishing with his Gillie Mr. John Quinlan. Wind SE fresh to strong at times, with reasonable cloud cover.
