On the Butler Pool, local Angler, Mr. John Young caught a fine grilse, staying with the Pool. A guest caught a Grilse with his Gillie Mr. Michael O’Sullivan, now we head upstream to Lough Currane and the One Each department, Mr. Mark O Malley fishing out of http://www.butlerarms.com/ and his gillie Mr. Vincent O'Sullivan, Caught 2 salmon on the fly, their fish weighed in at 5lbs and 6lbs, now to the Sea trout department, Janet Van Hoffen caught 1 sea Trout, fishing with Mr. Neil O’Shea, and in the hired out boat department, Mr. John Keeshan of Tipperary and Dutch Angler, Mr. Gillissen caught a couple of Sea Trout. In the C&R Department, Swiss Angler, Mr. Walter Ruche caught a Salmon on the Inny as did his Gillie Mr. Frank Donnelly. Now to the higher Lakes and the poaching department, I was reading on http://www.loughcurrane.com/ on Lough Derriana, Mr. Paul Hyland caught 1 Brown Trout.

Mr. Pete Maxi and Mr. Simon Forbs of the UK, had a great fishing trip to Waterville last week, fishing with their Gillie Mr. Sylvester Donnelly, going by the email that I received from Pete, and here the facts, they caught plenty of Juniors, they had 2 Sea Trout in the 2lbs class 1 Sea trout in the 2.5lbs Class and one in the 1.5 class and their fish of the week was a fine Sea Trout of 4lbs and their best day was their last day with 14 fish taken and returned and Pete told me that He, and Simon, caught about 23 fish each, plus Pete was unlucky because he got into a fine Salmon and after about 15 Minutes the fly came flying out, and just for the record their fly of the week was a Red A Green Peter, and in the words of their gillie Mr. Sylvester Donnelly I lost count by the end of the week, and just for the record their Gillie Mr. Sylvester Donnelly got praised to the hilt.
