Update

Local Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy reported to me that his client, Mark, a Dublin Angler caught 3 Sea Trout ranging from 2lbs down to Juniors, now for the catch of the Day or I should say catch of the evening and that goes to Mr Donal O’Reilly, fishing in a hired out boat from www.Lakelandshouse.com  caught a cracking 8lbs 1ozs  specimen Sea Trout on the fly, and I can tell you he had one hell of a battle, it took the best part of 3 hours to procure my Noble Sea trout and as they say in the bar worth waiting for, and just for the record Donal also caught 1 Junior.

Lough Currane was on the quiet side with the just the odd Junior being caught and with wind being light to calm, that is not surprising, but to be fair, not all the reports are in as of yet because I went up to Cork University Hospital to see my Father and just for the record he is doing well, so if I have mist your catch you can text me on 0872074882.

3/6/11

Straight to the Sea Trout fly department, Mr. Keith McDonald, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea and @ tomsfishing@eircom.net caught a fine 3lbs Sea Trout on the fly, which they sportingly put back, and for the rest of we anglers it was a day for the high stool and with the sun blazing down on Lough Currane, you can understand why my Noble Game Fish were in a lethargic frame of mind. Wind W then veered NNE light .

First Salmon
There was a lightening fresh 8lbs Salmon caught on the troll by a guest fishing with his gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea and @ tomsfishing@eircom.net and I can tell you he was one happy angler, because it was his first ever Salmon and may it be the first of many. In the Sea trout department Mr. Anthony Tyler caught a fine Sea Trout of 3.5lbs on the fly and he was telling me that he also lost a cracker of a fish early this afternoon.  Mr. Peter Curnow caught a Sea Trout in the 3lbs Class on the fly. In the hired out boat department of www.lakelandshouse.com Neil caught a 2.5lbs Sea Trout on the drift and another guest also fishing out of Lakeland house.com caught a fine Sea Trout in the 2 to 3lbs class. Staying with www.lakelandshouse.com If you holiday anglers and none anglers alike  are looking for a good place, look no further because Celtic Breeze House is your holiday home, ready and waiting, and its out of this world, and I can tell if the Queen of England stayed there she would say to Phillip we don’t have theses luxuries at Buckingham Palace, need I say more, for more info @ celticbreezehouse@gmail.com Wind SW light with reasonable cloud cover.
