17/5/10
There was some fine action on Lough Currane this morning and first in the striking zone was Mr. Melvin Wood with a fine Specimen Seatrout of 6lbs 3oz caught on the fly with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea, also in good form was Mr Arthur White of the UK with a Seatrout of 4lbs caught on the fly, with his Gillie Mr. Michael O’Sullivan, staying with the fly, one of Michael's hired out boats caught a couple of Seatrout in the 2 to 3lbs class, next in the striking zone was a young Mather from Germany who caught a fine 2.5lbs Seatrout on the fly with his gillie Mr. Bob Priestley, and in the C&R department, Mr. Neil O'Shea was telling me that an angler caught a Grilse in the 2 to 3lbs class which he sportingly put back.
