Lough Currane was at a standstill thanks too a strong Westerly coming down the Lake this morning, but come afternoon the wind dropped and veered WNW and the race was on, and who do you think won the race for my Noble Salmon, yes you have it, they were at it again, Mr. Mark Knowles of the UK and his good friend Finbar from Co Cork , caught 3 Salmon ranging from 6lbs up to 8lbs all caught on the fly and as always they were fishing with their Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy, when they left the Mouth of the Commeragh Mr. Vincent O’Sullivan and of www.vincentsfishing.com took over, And it wasn’t long before is client, Mr. Marcel Guillou of the UK caught a lightening fresh 10lbs Salmon. Wind as already stated, with heavy showers throughout the day, amount of rainfall 5.9mm, max air temperature 13.2c.
