23/5/12

Mr. Liam Ellis
Mr. Jim Hall of the USA
There was some good action on Lough Currane today in the trolling department with some cracking good fish being caught, first in the striking zone was Mr. Jim Hall from New York, who caught a cracker of a Salmon weighing in at 13lbs and just for the record that was Jim’s first ever Salmon so congratulations to him and may it be the first of many, Jim was fishing with his Gillie Mr. Mike O’Dwyer, also in good form and regular Angler too Waterville Mr. Arthur White of the UK, who caught two Salmon ranging from 5¾ lbs up to 12.5lbs, Arthur was fishing with his Gillie Mr. Bob Priestley, and Bob was telling me that he and Arthur had a lucky escape, it’s a pity the 12.5lbs Salmon couldn’t say the same and the reason I say this this is because their Salmon jumped out of the net, and as you can  see its landed up on the internet. Now to the specimen Sea Trout and fly department and my catch of the day and that goes to Mr. Liam Ellis of Waterville and Cork, who caught a fine 6lbs 3ozs Sea Trout on the fly, drifting off Church Island, and Liam is keeping his reputation up as a specimen Sea Trout Hunter because this is the third year on the trot that Liam has caught a specimen Sea Trout so congratulations too him. Staying with the Sea Trout Mr. Marcel Guilliou of the UK, caught a fine 3lbs Sea trout on the fly in the Mouth of the Commeragh, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Vincent O’Sullivan and of www.vincentsfishing.com Wind S fresh too strong in the morning and light to fresh in the afternoon and overcast.

Mr. Arthur White of the UK and Mr. Bob Priestley .
