20/4/13

Tim, Terence Snr, Gerard, Terence jnr.

There were a few nice rod benders on Lough Currane today so lets get down to the action, first in the striking zone was Mr. Dan Sugrue of Waterville and Tralee, caught a fine Salmon on the troll with his Gillie Mr. Brod O’Sullivan of Stella Maris guest house Waterville, now for a mixture of troll and fly and Salmon and specimen Sea Trout, Dr, Ernie Smith, of Cooks Town Co Tyrone, fishing with his gillie Mr. Michael O’Sullivan and of watervilleboats@gmail.com caught a fine 10 lbs. Salmon on the troll, and finished their day off with a fine 7 ¾  specimen Sea Trout on the south side drifting by Water Lillie Bay, and staying on the south side and the fly department, Mr. Gerard O’Sullivan fishing with his Gillie Mr. Terence Wharton Jnr caught his first ever Salmon on the fly, so congratulations to him and may it be the first of many, also in good form was Mr. Tim Van Der laan, of Holland, fishing with his gillie Mr. Terence Wharton Snr, caught a fine Salmon on the fly, and just for the record both anglers, hooked their Salmon at the same time in Capal, and last but not least an angler fishing on his own caught a Salmon on the troll also caught on the south side by the Table Rock. Wind SW fresh and overcast with the odd light shower.
Ernie, Michael.
