18/5/17

18/5/17 I start with the sad news that the Waterville fishery has lost another great angler, Mr. Malcolm Hutton RIP of The UK and Waterville, sadly past away today while doing what he loved, fishing with his rod in hand at the ready, well Malcolm you be gone but you will never be forgotten and on behalf of all the Waterville anglers and the good people of Kerry we send our deepest sympathies to all his Family and Friends. Now today’s fishing notes and there is only one angler that takes the headlines and that is UK fly angler extraordinaire Mr. Sean Smith, who manipulated his flies with pure professionalism and why do I say this because he caught a fine 8 ½ lbs. Salmon, while fishing with is Gillie Mr Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com and Neil’s quote of the day was nothing like eating humble pie, all I can say it’s a pleasure to eat it! Wind NW light to fresh and variable at times, with reasonable cloud cover at times. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 1.7mm, Maximum air temperature 14.6c.
