7/2/18 Local Angler Mr. Kevin O’Shea, breaks the Salmon Ice with his fly rod on the World Famous Butler Pool and at www.watervillegolflinks.ie this evening. Kevin caught a cracker of an 8lbs.Salmon on the fly and the first Salmon caught on the Waterville Fishery in 2018. Now the Ice has truly melted on the Pool, all eyes head up stream to Lough Currane to see who will break the Currane Ice. Wind SW fresh and overcast with heavy rain this evening. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 5.2mm. Maximum air temperature 6.0c. I will put picture up as soon as I receive
