28/7/2023

28/7/2023 Straight out on to Lough Currane and into the fly department, renowned Kilkenny and Currane fly angler Mr. Tom Dugan fishing out of www.thecrescentwaterville.ie caught a fine Grilse and finished his day off with two C&R Sea Trout,  while flyfishing with his renowned Gillie the flyman Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy of www.fishingwithdom.com and for the rest of the Currane angers it was all quiet, you could say they had Inny syndrome? Now we motor across the Valley to the River Inny and back to yesterday’s manipulations, the Inny Farmer got some good news from one angler, who caught and released 3 Grilse of which the biggest was in the 4 lbs class all caught on the spin, staying on the C&R Inny, the Inny farmer today reported that two Salmon were caught today on the fly. Wind WSW light to fresh followed strong gusts at times and overcast.

Now we head for an anglers opinion on my reporting on the Waterville Fishery, so the stage is yours Martin so take it away Sir. Photo's like these are all too common on your site, when is the realization that 'soon there will be none' going to kick in, or are you all hell bent on ruin? If so 'Good Luck', and stop posting hard luck reports, you reap what you sow!
