2/5/16 Lough Currane was on the wild side this Bank Holiday Monday, with a strong NW blowing and what boats ventured out failed to procure a Wild Atlantic Salmon or a Lough Currane specimen Sea Trout and in the  
words of one local angler and I quote, My day has gone, but the Lough Currane anglers will carry on, yes I agree, but going by today’s standards its more like a carry on film!! Now to the back date department, on Saturday  there was a fine Salmon caught on the drift by local Angler Mr. Sion Brain.
