15/9/14

15/9/14 Straight to the apology Department, last week I made two errors, i.e. spelling of a gentleman’s name and exaggerated his catches so on that note lets put the record straight. We stay at the Bungalow and in the past week, Mr. Jimmy Keogh, paid his last visit to Lough Currane 20 years ago and it wasn't long before he made up for lost time, He caught 7 Sea Trout in the past week, ranging from Junior class up to 2 to 3 lbs. Jimmy’s choice of flies for the week were Red Arse Peters and Hoppers, and just for the record all the facts came from www.oshealoughcurrane.com Now back today’s striking zone. In the hired out boat department of www.lakelandshouse.com  Mr. Dave Flynn and his good friend, Andy, caught a fine basket of Brown Trout and Sea Trout on the drift, ranging from Junior class up to 4 lbs. Staying with the Sea trout, Mr. Markus Kruse caught a fine Sea Trout with his Gillie MD Esq. Also in good form was William Timmermans of Holland and Waterville, caught 4 Sea Trout on the drift, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com and staying on the North side and the Bungalow, Mr. David Burton again was in the C&R mode while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of www.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com with 4 Sea Trout, their weights are as follows, 2 Juniors, a 2 ½ lbs. Sea Trout and they finished their day off with a fine 3 ½ lbs. Sea Trout.
