24/3/15 http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WatervilleLakesandRiversTrust

24/3/15 Lough Currane was all quiet after yesterdays first cracker of a specimen Sea Trout. So we head for the mad news department it was pointed out to me by UK angler Mr. Gary W. Humphrey, that fish farming will be on the increase off Co. Galway, so I got all the facts from www.loughcurrane.com
Good bye my Noble Wild Atlantic Salmon and Sea Trout
The Irish Government has applied for a licence for
15,000 ton 1,126acres salmon farms in Galway
Bay to be leased to a multinational for up to 10
years . This has the potential to create an
environmental catastrophe.
This is the 1st application. The Government wants
to increase licence capacity to 150,000 tons on
the west coast of Ireland.

And thanks again to Mr. Gary W. Humphrey of the UK and a great supporter of the Waterville Fishery and Irish Angling, for pointing this out. Wind N with strong gusts with heavy showers and very cold.
