Not sure where to ask, but what is it with RyanAir? We were glad to find decent prices for the smaller flights to get down to the Ring-Of-Kerry area, but there is no way to avoid airfare charges being doubled if you want to bring even one tiny wee fishing rod for one tiny wee day of fishing. Just one carryon if you want to pay just the airfare, but it gets very expensive if you plan to bring more than 22 pounds with you. Is there another airline that will let you bring at least reasonable equipment without charging one a price that could tempt one to buy their own boat and just boat over here from America? True, on some airlines in America, there will be some extra charges for some things and equipment out of the norm for some holiday travelers, but nothing like the prices RyanAir charges! - R. Stevens, Ohio
ReplyDeleteForgot to add that the extra that RyanAir wanted was 400 Euros - we were only going from the Dublin Airport to the Kerry Airport! Just ridiculous, could buy some new equipment for that alone. There has to be alternatives, as we would love to come back to this area in the future without getting ripped off.
