Update
In the hired out boat department, Mr Phil Hawker, caught a fine 6lbs Grilse on the fly and finished day off with a few Juniors and Mr Chris Wallace, also fishing in a hired out boat, caught a few Juniors.
On the early shift, a client, fishing with his Gillie Mr Terence Wharton Jnr, caught two Sea trout and finished the morning off with a fine Grilse. Now for a mixture of fly and troll, Mr. Don Franklin and Mr. Don Thomson, fishing with their Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea, caught four Sea trout, from the junior class up to 2,5lbs, two on the fly and two on the troll, now for the fly only department, Mr. Nick Park of the UK and Waterville, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Bob Priestly, caught 2 Juniors on the fly, and staying with the fly, a guest fishing with his Gillie Mr. Michael O’Sullivan, caught 1 Sea Trout, and lost one, in the C&R department, Mr. Vincent Appleby, caught 5 Sea Trout on the troll, ranging from the Junior class up to 1.5lbs. Just for the record there were a few boats this evening, and at present, there is no reports of any real rod benders. Wind SE and then veered SW once the rain had gone through, come 3pm the heavens opened and I can tell you it wasn’t long before there was white water coming down the mountain.
