Lough Currane, was on the wild side, so most Anglers headed for the Bar and the High Stool, but saying that one boat did venture out, Mr. Con Murphy caught 5 Juniors on the drift fishing with his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy. Wind SE Strong and overcast

There were a few juniors taken on the drift, but catch of the day in the Sea Trout department goes to Mr. Rob Elson of the UK fishing with his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy, they caught 9 Sea trout from Juniors up to 2.5lbs. Wind SE fresh and overcast with heavy rain this morning.

Lough Currane was on the quiet side, just a few Juniors reported on the drift. Now we cut across the valley to the River Inny and Mr. Christopher O’Sullivan caught a lightening fresh Grilse weighing in at 4lbs.

Now we cut across the Valley to the River Inny and catch of the goes to Luxembourg Angler Mr. Raymnd Paulis, who caught his ever Salmon on the fly so congratulations to him and just for the record his Salmon weighed in at 9lbs. Mr. Michael Henry of Paris France caught a fine 7lbs Grilse fishing with his Gillie Mr. Vincent O’Sullivan and @ www.vinventsfishing.com And last but not least there were 4 more salmon were recorded on the Inny but alas my noble Angler wants to stay anonymous, but he did give me the weights 3.7.10.5.and 14lbs all caught on the fly,
18/9/11 The Inny takes the had lines, first in the C&R striking zone was Mr. Michael Roden with 2 Salmon to his rod both Grilse, were in the 6lbs class, as always Michael was fishing with his Gillie Mr. Junior Scully also in good form on the Inny was Mr. Peter Liddel fishing with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea and of www.loughcurrane.com caught 1 grilse. Now to Lough Currane and C&R of the day goes to Mr. John Twomey fishing with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea and @ tomsfishing@eircom.net they caught 10 Juniors on the drift. Straight to the action and the Salmon department on the River Inny and I can tell you there was a fine catch of 6 Salmon caught by Mr. John Curnow of Kinsale Co Cork and party ranging from Grilse up to 12.5lbs, John was telling me that all were put back except the 12.5lbs Salmon and who could blame him, because he caught it on the fly, and on a single handed fly rod, and in my book that’s catch of the year on the Inny so far, staying with the Inny Mr. Michael Roden caught a fine 6lbs Grilse fishing with his Gillie Mr. Junior Scully. There was some good action on the Waterville Fishery, in the trolling department on Lough Currane, Mr. john Baller of the UK and fishing out of www.butlerarms.com caught a 4.5lbs Grilse, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea and @ www.oshealoughcurrane.com and catch of the day on the Lake goes to Mr. Phil Staniforth, and his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy, they caught 2 Salmon and finished their day off with a junior, In the Sea trout department Local Gillie Mr. bob priestly caught 2 Juniors. Now to the River Inny, Mr. Michael Roden Fishing with his Gillie Mr. Junior Scully, caught two Grilse ranging from 4lbs up to 6lbs which Michael sportingly returned both Salmon, also in good form was Mr. Bob Amhlung from Luxemburg and his Gillie Mr. Tom O'Shea and @ tomsfishing@eircom.net they caught 2 Grilse, ranging from 6lbs up to 6.5lbs, now to the C&R of the day on the Inny, and that goes to Mr. Ivor O’Connor, who caught a fine 8lbs Salmon. There was some good fishing on Lough Currane today, so straight to the action and the fly department, first in the striking zone was local Gillie Mr. Junior Scully and his client, who caught 8 Juniors and finished his day off with a fine Sea Trout of 4 ¾ lbs and his Gillie Mr. Junior Scully was telling me that all the Juniors were returned, staying with the Sea Trout, in the C&R department, Mr. Julian Smith and party from Scotland kept their rhythm in their fly rods today, with 10 Juniors. Also in good form in the C&R Sea Trout department, was Mr. Nick White from Wales, who caught 5 sea Trout ranging from Juniors up to 2lbs fishing with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea and @ tomsfishing@eircom.net and a Guest fishing with his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy, caught 2 Juniors. Now to the Salmon and Sea Trout department, Local Gillie Mr. Bob Priestly caught a fine Grilse and 1 Junior on the drift. In the last few days, Mr. Marc Luyten and fishing party from Belgium, fishing in a hired out boat from Waterville Boats and @ watervilleboats@gmail.com caught 35 Sea Trout ranging from Juniors up to 2lbs and caught 2 Salmon ranging from 4lbs up to 6.5lbs in 3 days fishing. All caught on the Fly
There was some cracking fishing on Lough Currane today, so straight to catch of the day, in the Salmon Department, Mr. Dona McCarthy of Waterville and the USA, caught two Grilse and finished his day off with a cracker of a Salmon in the 12lbs class all caught on the fly fishing with his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy and just for the record Dona put the Grilse back, now to the C&R fly department, Mr, Julian Smith and party, from Scotland fishing out of www.oshealoughcurrane.com caught 8 juniors and finished their day off with a Grilse. Now we head up stream to the Commeragh River where renowned Angler and a great manipulator with his spinning rod, Mr. Mike Thian, caught a fine Grilse on worm. Mr. Walter Ruche Of Switzerland, caught a 7lbs Grilse on the fly, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Frank Donnelly and @ www.lakelandshouse.com
Lough Currane was at stand still with a strong SW wind blowing down the Lake, but at least you cold fish the South side, Local, Gillie Mr. Sylvester Donnelly and his Client caught a few Juniors and Sylvester was telling me that they rose a good few Sea Trout, no we will cut across the Valley to the River Inny as did the majority of Anglers, and here our the results as I know them, So far there has been one Salmon recorded by Mr. Ivor O’Connor, who caught a 8lbs Salmon while spinning, and just for the record the amount of anglers fishing on the Inny I am sure there would have been a few more salmon procured and considering there was first class Water they have no excuse. Wind as all ready stated. As I am sure you all now that the back end of Hurricane Katia is going to us in the next 48 hours, so if tomorrow’s notes are not up as usual, you will know my net is down, but I hope yours will be full, so tight lines.

4/9/11 Look at yestedays notes
It was a wild day on Lough Currane today even though a few boats headed out this morning, but come lunch time thy were all blown off, so we will head for the River Inny, and that didn’t fair much better because it made a flood this morning so the river was dirty for a while. But one Angler did catch a fine grilse on the lower reaches just before it got dirty, and that was local Angler Mr. Mike Thian. Wind SW Strong and overcast with heavy showers throughout the day. Just for the record fish may have been caught on the river Inny late this afternoon and evening so watch this space.

3/9/11 Breaking News All quiet my Foot
There was some cracking fishing Around the Waterville Fishery today, so we will start with the lake, in the specimen Sea Trout department, Mr Edwin O’Connor caught a cracker of a Sea Trout on the fly weighing in at 10 lbs 6ozs fishing in a hired out boat from Waterville Boats and @ watervilleboats@gmail.com and there was another 10lbs Sea Trout also on the fly, now we will cut across the Valley to the River Inny and catch of the day, and that goes to Young Archie Curnow of the UK because he caught two cracking fish weighing in at 11.5lbs and 8.5lbs and his uncle, Mr. John Curnow, finished day off with a Grilse on the fly

Young Archie Curnow of the UK caught a fine Sea Trout of 2lbs on the the fly and also added a few Juniors to his basket, fishing with his Uncle John, Mr. John Curnow of Co Cork.
