22/6/15 There was some great action in all departments on Lough Currane. We start in the trolling department, UK Angler Mr. Robert Elson, caught a find 5 lbs. Grilse, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Brod O’Sullivan. Staying with the troll, Gillie Mr. Bob Priestley, caught a 7 ½ lbs. Salmon, also in good form in the trolling department, was Ernie from Luxemburg, who caught a fine Salmon in the 6 lbs. class, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Frank Donnelly of www.lakelandshouse.com Now we head for the Bungalow and the C&R department, Mr. Paul McManus from Belfast, fly fishing with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of www.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com caught 3 Sea Trout, 1 lbs. 2lbs. 3lbs. Now to the hired out boat department of www.lakelandshouse.com Mr. Barry Vaughan and Mr. Leon Smith, caught 5 Sea Trout up to 3 lbs. Staying in Franks hired out boat department, Mr. Bill Bullick and party caught 2 Salmon both in the 6 lbs. class and finished their day off with 2 Sea Trout ranging from 2 lbs. up to 4 lbs. Just for the record they released 1 of their Salmon and the 2 Sea Trout. Last but not least Luxemburg angler, Renée caught a find Salmon on the fly in the 6 lbs class. Wind light Variable with good cloud cover at times.
