There were just a few Juniors caught but too be fair too my Noble Anglers it was cold out there with heavy showers with a mixture of hailstones, Wind NW light too fresh, but with all that Mr. Jim Sayers and his Son, in the last 3 days caught 20 Sea Trout ranging from Juniors up to 3 lbs and also rose a few good ones, and last but not least, Mr. Carey, of Spencer Iowa USA, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Vincent Appleby and of www.salmonandseatrout.com  caught 2 Trout, now we Head too the lobster Bar for the W.F.D.G Draw for the Car, and the winner was Mr. Liam Musgrave of  Caherciveen, now too the Angling Cups and the winners for the first Salmon brought into the Lobster Bar, and caught on the Fly, goes Too Mr. Mark Knowles of the UK and his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy and of www.fishingwithdom.com  took the Jim O’Sullivan Cup on his behalf and it was presented too Dominic by Jim's Son, Mr. Vincent O’Sullivan and of  www.vincentsfishing.com  the Lobster Bar Cup for the Biggest Fish, went too Mr. Michael O’Sullivan of Waterville boats and of watervilleboats@gmail.com And Michael also won the photo catch of the year, and it was presented too Michael by the Landlady of the Lobster Bar Mrs Sheila O’Carroll. Well its time too close 2012 Salmon and Sea Trout Season, and on a personal note, I would like too thank all the team of the Inland Fisheries and of www.fisheriesireland.ie for their help this season and as they do every season, and last but not least too you the Anglers for taking your time too read the Waterville Fishery Notes, I hope you enjoyed reading them as much as I did writing them, so on that note I close this 2012 Season and I look forward too seeing you on January 17th 2013 That is your ration for this Season, from your Gillie/Guide and the Waterville fishery. There were a few boats manipulating the their flies, but there was only one angler who reported their catches and releases, and that was Mr. Phil Stanefort, who caught 8 Trout, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy and of www.fishingwithdom.com overcast with rain in the afternoon.

Enrico from Italy fishing with his Gillie Mr. Neil O‘Shea and of www.oshealoughcurrane.com caught 1 Junior and Neil was telling me that they lost a good Sea Trout this morning, and just for the record there was the odd Junior caught by other anglers, wind was all over the place, light too calm and south light, this evening

In the last two days in the hired out boat department of www.lakelandshouse.com Mr. John Flaherty and his good friend, Brendan, from Ardmore Co Waterford, caught 15 Sea Trout ranging from Juniors up to 2 lbs

Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com reported that one of his hired out boats caught 1 Sea Trout, and there were reports of one angler catching a fine Sea Trout, will try and get more info, wind NE light with bright sunshine all day.

Lough Currane was flat calm so you don’t have too be a rocket scientist too know the Sea Trout results, wind or no wind my Noble Anglers still failed miserably in their duties. Calm and overcast.

There were a few boats manipulating their flies, and all I can say is they failed miserably in producing my Noble Sea Trout, but in defence of my Noble Anglers it was very cold, with the odd heavy shower, wind SW fresh.

I start with a backdate on the 1/10/12 Mr. Rob Elson of the UK, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Bob Priestly, caught 2 Sea Trout on the drift, now today’s facts, all quiet on the SW front or my Noble Anglers failed miserably too report their catches and releases.

Mr. Christopher O'Sullivan
Today is a Sad Day for Lough Currane and the Waterville Fishery, because we had the sad news, that one of Waterville’s renowned fly Anglers Mr. Christopher O’Sullivan of the UK and Waterville, past away at the tender age of 43 on Friday 28 of last month, and on behalf of all we Anglers I would like pay our condolences too Christopher’s First Cousins Neil and Tom O’Shea and all his Family and friends, well Christopher you may be gone, but your not forgotten. Too all you Salmon and Sea Trout Blogger’s out there, which Christopher was one, I will not be putting today’s fishing notes until tomorrow, you can say today is Christopher’s day.

First of Many of my Noble Salmon

Straight too the Salmon Department and fish of the day, and that goes too Mr. Paul Lentelink who caught his first ever Salmon on the Fly while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Vincent O’Sullivan and of www.vincentsfishing.com now too the Sea Trout department Mr. patsy Quilligan of Cork, caught a nice bag of Juniors, and other Anglers did catch a few Juniors, now we cut across the Valley too the River Inny and in the striking, were Mr. Mike Teahan, he caught a fine Salmon on the Spin, also in good form was, Mr. Noel Clancy of Waterville and His Gillie Sian Brain and of www.kbfishingireland.com with two Salmon caught on the fly, and last but not least a Guest fishing with his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy and of www.fishingwithdom.com caught 2 Salmon all were Grilse. There Was a great party in the Lobster this evening, and on all behalf of all the anglers I would like thank, Mrs Shelia O’Carroll and the Staff of the Lobster Bar for a great night and a good party was had by all, Mr. Brian O’Carroll presented a framed photograph of Mr. Mike Dwyer and his 15 lbs Salmon,  too Mike, in memory of his Father Mr. Denis O’Carroll, the rest of the Trophies will be presented on the very last day of the Sea Trout season on the 12 of October, and going by tonight the crack should be good.
