A guest caught a fine Salmon while fly fishing with his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy of www.fishingwithdom.com and for the rest of the angling fraternity they failed miserably in their duties to activate a wild Atlantic Salmon or a Wild Atlantic Sea Trout and if they did they failed to report their catches. Wind WNW fresh and overcast this morning with reasonable cloud cover in the afternoon.

24/6/16 The majority of the anglers Fly lines were slack and not taut, but the same couldn’t be said for UK angler Mr. Martin Sutton, who caught a fine 4 ½ lbs. Salmon/Grilse on the fly, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of www.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com and where the paparazzi were concerned I failed miserably in my Duties and I must apologise to both Anglers, Mr. Martin Sutton and Mr. Tom O’Shea, but sadly it was beyond my control and just for the record there is a photo on the way and will put up tomorrow. 19/6/16 I will put today’s action or the lack of it in the words of renowned Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of www.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com No need for the paparazzi today, blown off the Lake at Lunch time, gale force SW wind with heavy rain. Just for the record it has made a flood, how big will be interesting to see, the reason I say this is because I’m sure the land will take a fair bit of it as its very dry.

11/6/16 What can you say about the Lough Currane pro Anglers and amateurs, its simple they are failing miserably in all arts of game fishing ie Wet flie, Dry flie and dapping the flie and trolling, last but not least the Black Birds Fancy, so as you can imagine their topic of conversation as they drink their pints this evening was on their failures of the day and if its not, it dam well it should be. Wind South and light with good cloud cover with misty rain throughout the day.
