4/7/17

Judge David Burton
4/7/17 We Start at Vincent’s harbour, UK and Waterville angler Mr. Ken Towner, caught a cracker of a 5 lbs. Sea Trout on the drift and I can tell you Ken was delighted with his afternoons manipulations in the Sea Trout department. Two anglers fishing on their own were seen catching a Grilse and a fine Sea Trout on the fly. Retired UK  Judge David Burton has the last say in today’s Salmon department and his catch of the day was a fine 4 lbs. Salmon caught on the fly and you can say without any fear of contradiction his gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of www.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com is not Guilty in failing in his duties and the truth of the pudding is in the eating of. Now we head for the backdate department of www.lakelandshouse.com  Yesterday
Dublin anglers Connal Bennett had a 12 trout up to one and half pounds and Martin Kearney had two sea trout of 2 ½ lbs on Saturday and Sunday. Wind SW light and overcast and very foggy this evening. Yesterday weather, amount of rainfall 3.4mm. Maximum air temperature 16.4c.
