23/7/17

23/7/17 All the action comes from the North side and the Bungalow, so straight to the C&R Sea Trout department, Dublin angler Mr. Mark Whelan, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of www.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com caught two fine Sea Trout, both in the 1 ½ lbs. class give or take. Staying at the Bungalow, we head out with Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com and his client Mr. John McGee for a spot of C&R Salmon fly fishing and I can tell you it wasn’t long before John had his fly rod bent double into a fine 4lbs. Salmon Grilse and a good battle was had by all and My Noble Salmon was released back into the wild waters of Lough Currane. Wind North light with good cloud cover. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 3.2mm. Maximum air temperature 17.4c.
