5/3/15 Lough Currane was on the slack side in all departments especially my Noble Angler, so the least said the soonest mended. Wind W moderate and overcast. Now to the reminiscing department, I had an email saying there were no engines in those days on Lough Currane, he was making comment  on the old photo I put up of the Old Southern Hotel and a boat fishing out of the Bog. So here is a little bit of history in the outboard motor department, the first engine was put on the lake in 1964 by the Appleby Brothers Mr. E.G. and E.M.H. Appleby. Some people say 1965? Who am I to argue and I can tell there was hell to pay but that is another story!
