Wild Atlantic Salmon
31/5/19 The Currane anglers had a tough time of it in all departments and for good reason, they had to battle a strong wind from the SW this morning, come afternoon it calmed down and that’s when the Currane Angler struck a fine 8 ½ lbs. Salmon caught on the troll and that was his ration and for the rest of the Currane anglers it was all quiet on the SW front. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 2.4 mm. Maximum air temperature 16.c,

Catch of the Day!  
30/5/19 All the Salmon headlines  come from the West End of Lough Currane, local Currane angler celebrated today’s manipulations in style by catching a fine Grilse on the troll and considering it was fairly wild out there with a strong wind from the West, he did well. Wind as already stated and overcast with rain this evening. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 5.2 mm. Maximum air temperature 14.6 c.

29/5/19 Before we head out on Lough Currane there is breaking News on the Big 50 and I’m not talking of Hawaii Five-o either, because Tomorrow night in the Sea Lodge Waterville a certain and renowned Currane angler is celebrating his 50th Birthday and cast off is at 8.30pm and everyone is welcome, so Book Em Danno!   Currane Angler, Mr. Graham Robertson of the UK while fishing with his gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com caught a fine Sea Trout on the fly and for the rest of the Currane anglers it was all quiet on the SW front. Wind W light to fresh and overcast and followed by showers at times. Yesterday weather, amount of rainfall, 6.9 mm. Maximum air temperature 13. 9 c.

27/5/19 All the Game Fishing headlines come from the Bungalow on the North Shore of www.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com Currane Angler Mr. Robert McDonnell from Co. Monaghan and fishing out of www.butlerarms.com and fishing with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of www.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com caught and released a fine 1 ½ lbs. Sea Trout on the troll. For the rest of the Currane anglers it was all quiet on all fronts and to be fair to the Currane anglers, it was wild out there with a strong wind from the West with reasonable cloud cover. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 4.6 mm. Maximum air temperature 15.1 c.

Markus / fist Grilse caught on the fly! 
C&R ST!
26/5/19 Breaking News on the Salmon/Grilse, Currane Angler Mr. Markus Kruse, of Germany and fishing out www.lakelandshouse.com catches the first Grilse on the fly, while fishing with his Gillie, so congratulations to you both but their action didn’t stop there because Markus finished his day off  with a fine C&R 3 lbs. ST and there isn’t any photo because Markus had such a great battle with his Sea Trout the sooner he released it the better. Now we head for the North Shore and the Bungalow and staying in C&R ST Index, Currane Angler Mr. Robert McDonnell from Co. Monaghan and fishing out of www.butlerarms.com and fishing with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of www.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com While C&R fly fishing on the drift caught two fine Sea Trout ranging from 2 lbs. up to 2 ½ lbs. and their photo was taken by Robert himself . Wind N light and variable with reasonable cloud cover. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 6.2 mm. Maximum air temperature 15.3 c.

25/5/19 Its Straight to the C&R ST Index. Currane Angler, Mr. Markus Kruse, of Germany, while fly fishing with his Gillie, caught and released a fine 3 lbs.
