24/7/2026

24/7/2026. Just one Currane boat ventured out today and, sad to say, there were no reports of any C&R. Straight to the Currane Anglers Weather Chart, Gentle to Moderate variable N, veering WNW, NW, NNW, and back to NW, with good cloud cover dominating the day as the sun made periodic appearances through broken skies. Yesterday’s weather, Rainfall: 0.0mm, Max air temperature: 23.8°C, Sunshine, 12 hours and 4 minutes. And now. To finish today’s report, we hand the mic to the one and only Mad Fisherman, a man who needs no introduction and wouldn’t take one anyway. Sit back, pour whatever keeps you sane, and enjoy his latest escapade on the waves.

Now we head to the Inny.

A salmon washed up on the Inny Strand, and by the look of it, it died tangled in a poacher’s net. I received the photo the day before yesterday. My apologies to the angler who sent it; it’s a grim sight and a reminder of the damage done by those who take without respect.
