There were three boats out on the lake today, and sadly the Currane reels
remained as silent as a church mouse. All lines were slack, and not a Salmon or
Sea Trout saw fit to disturb the peace. As for the weather chart of the day, we
were treated to light variable winds from the NNE, drifting about under light
cloud, pleasant enough for the angler, but clearly not persuasive enough for
the fish. Yesterday’s weather.
Rainfall, 0.4 mm, Max air temperature: 20.4°C, Sunshine: 9 hours and 4 minutes.
And before anyone starts writing off July entirely, let’s not forget last
week’s action, when Currane produced a respectable six Salmon and two C&R
sea trout. Proof, if ever needed, that the lake still has a few tricks up its
sleeve.
