22/5/11

Lough Currane was on the wild side this morning with a strong NW blowing, but at least one had shelter from the N Shore, come afternoon the wind veered SW light to fresh, then the action started, with Mr. Marcel Guillou of the UK, fishing with his Gillie Mr. John Young, caught a fine 10.5lbs on the fly at the point of grassy Island, now to the Sea Trout department and catch of the day and that goes to Mr. Patsy Quilligan of Cork who caught a cracker of a Sea Trout of 8 ¾ lbs while on the drift in coffees Bay. and staying with the Sea Trout, a guest caught a 2lbs Sea Trout on the fly with his Gillie Mr. Bob Priestly, and in the Mouth of the Commeragh, Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy and his guests caught 5 Sea trout, ranging from 5.5lbs down to 2lbs all caught the fly, and all sportingly put back to fight another day.
