There was some fine Sea trout action, both on the fly and the troll. I will start with the troll, clients, fishing with there Gillie Mr. Vincent Appleby, caught 3 sea trout, ranging from the junior class up to 1.5lbs, now for a mixture of fly and troll, Mr. Don Thomson and Mr. Don Franklin, fishing with their Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea, caught four Sea Trout, two on the fly and two on the troll, all in the Junior class, staying with the troll, clients fishing with their Gillie Mr Bob Priestly also caught 5 Juniors on the troll, clients fishing with their Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea, caught for Sea Trout, again a mixture of fly and troll, Mr. Rob Wasmuth of the UK and Waterville, caught 5 Juniors on the fly and 1 Junior on the troll with his Gillie Mr. Michael O’Sullivan. Now to the total fly department, Kilkenny anglers, Mr. Tom Duggan and Mr. Tom Nugent caught 4 Juniors in the Mouth of the Commeragh, with their Gillie Mr Dominic Mc Gillicuddy. Just for the record there were a good few Boats out on Lough Currane and I would be very surprised if they didn’t see some action. Now we head out of Laugh Currane, and up to the Commeragh River, Cork Anglers caught four Sea Trout, in the 2 to 3lbs class, on the fly, Staying with the Commeragh, Mr. Mike Teahan of Waterville caught a Grilse. Wind W then veered SW late this afternoon, bright and sunny, but there was reasonable cloud cover at times.
