 Hand Me Down Salmon

11/5/21 Just 3 boats out and all the headlines go to one angry angler and when I say angry that’s an understatement and that’s after catching the last spring hand me down Brown tag Salmon of 2021.  This is his say on the Lough Currane Brown Tag Season. 

Used my hand my down brown tag today,  Well today was the last day of the brown tags, and 14 tags fished Currane, 25 tags never wet a line, and  best of all some brown tag winners tried to hand down their tags with 3 and 4 days left and locals begging for tags all year, what an insult to the real fishermen on Currane , people in office really making decisions like this should be ashamed of themselves and should look at the bigger picture before introducing something as farcical as the brown tags on Currane , today I ask IfI where are the other 25 tags and why didn’t they make an effort to give tags to people that wanted to fish. And to the person who came up with brown tags idea, how or what do you think of yourself and your idea now, from a very very disappointed local angler.
