7/8/11

There wasn’t much action on Lough Currane and with little to no wind that is not surprising and what wind was there was coming from the NW light to calm with the odd heavy shower, plus they had the Waterville Regatta today, so on that note I will cut across the valley to the River Inny, there was a fine Grilse caught by a Dutch Angler fishing with his Gillie Mr. Frank Donnelly and @ www.lakelandshouse.com

6/8/11

The Swiss Flag was fly flying high over Lough Currane today, Lionel, Caught a fine Grilse on the troll with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea and @ www.oshealoughcurrane.com  now to the loss department, Mr. Dan Sugrue fishing with his Gillie Mr. Brod O’Sullivan of Stella Maris Guest house, lost a fine Salmon on the troll, they reckoned  it was in the 10lbs class, sorry lads losses don’t count. Wind NW with reasonable cloud cover. On the rain front there was heavy rain early this morning but sadly it didn’t last, but at least it made a small flood.

All quiet on the SW front in all departments. Wind WNW light. With reasonable cloud cover.
  As JFK would say, its not what the WFDG can do for you its what you can do for the WFDG.

4/8/11

Lough Currane may well be on the low side and you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to work that one out, low lake or not this didn’t stop Mr. Don O’Leary catching a fine 9lbs Salmon on the drift early this morning, fishing in a hired out boat from www.oshealoughcurrane.com on the Sea Trout front no reports of any real rod benders. Wind NW light to fresh with reasonable cloud cover.

Update.
Mr. Frank Donnelly of www.lakelandshouse.com reported to me that that he and his Guest caught a Grilse on the troll, so not so quiet on the SW front in all departments, and just for the record on the 28/7/11 Mr. Fitzpatrick caught 3.5lbs Grilse on the troll with his Gillie Mr. Michael O’Sullivan and @  watervilleboats@gmail.com





. Wind ESE light with light misty rain throughout the day.

Straight to Mr. Frank Donnelly and of  www.lakelandshouse.com who reported to me that he and his guest caught 2 Grilse on the troll, weighing in at 5lbs up to 6.5lbs, on the Sea Trout front no reports of any real Rod Benders.
