21/1/15 There were just 2 or 3 boats out manipulating and there was no reports of any rod benders. Overcast with the odd light shower.

20/1/15 Lough Currane was quiet in all departments including the weather with a light to calm NW breeze. Now on a personal note I forgot to mention on the opening day notes of the good crack we all had at the Waterville Inn and on behalf of all the Anglers I would like to thank the Landlord Mr. Damian Duff and his good Wife Sally and their Staff for a great evening in the Music and the food department and thanks for the invitation.

19/1/15 Here is your weather report for today, raining all day or as good as, with a fresh Southerly wind blowing and what boats were out didn't let their fingers do the talking, why do I say this? even if they caught a Noble spent Salmon, it would make better reading in my opinion? What do you say my Noble readers?

Second day and the count down is still on and yes you have it with 4 boats out and all failed in my  Noble Salmon department.Wind light north with bright sunshine

Hi great to be back on the no spin no flys just facts zone , and a very happy new year to you all and tight lines to you all in 2015 Now to day's facts, well there isn't any and for good reason my Noble Anglers couldn’t produce my Noble Gentlemen the Salmon, just for the record there were a few kelts caught, there were 12 boats manipulating.wind, there was no wind to talk of and cold. On that note my Noble Anglers will be heading for the Waterville Inn for a good opening night with good music and good food and spot prices so I will let the landLord Mr Damien Duff have the last word , be at The Waterville Inn tonight.

The Waterville Fisheries Development Group
will be represented at this year’s Irish Fly Fair
at The Galway Bay Hotel in Salthill, Co.Galway,
on the 15th and 16th of this month. Thanks to
the kind generosity of Enrico Fantasia, a regular
visitor to our Waterville Fisheries, we have been
invited to share his exhibition stand at the Fair.

We all know the important contribution Angling
Tourism makes to our local economy and the
Galway Fly Fair is one of the main showcases of
the year for all who are involved in Angling in
Ireland. A national study, carried out on behalf
of Inland Fisheries Ireland and published last year,
found that Angling Tourism generates over three
quarters of a Billion Euro to the Irish Economy and
provides over 10,000 permanent jobs!

You are invited to make available to our
representatives, who will be attending the Fair,
any promotional material you have, in order to
take advantage of this opportunity for free
advertising to a ‘captive audience’!!
We are producing a simple ‘flyer’ detailing the
Angling opportunities in Waterville and which
will list those local enterprises which service the
Angling public.

Please put your Promotional Material in an
envelope marked for the attention of Tadhg
O’Sullivan and leave in the Londis Store in
Waterville before Saturday 8th November.

As space on our stand will be limited, could
you please restrict your material to say, one
business card and one brochure  per business.
Remember this is free advertising! However, a
small donation would be greatly appreciated to
help defray the printing costs of setting up our
exhibition material in Galway.
