 August 15, 2025: Today brought exceptionally hot conditions to Currane, with strong sunlight prevailing throughout the day. As of this report, there have been no confirmed catches or releases of salmon or sea trout. Given the intense heat, a brief visit to Darby’s Island would likely be cut short in favour of returning to the lake. Turning to the day's weather chart: winds were variable, shifting from light to gentle ESE and later veering SSE, SSW, NW, SW, and WSW. Yesterday’s recorded rainfall was 0.2 mm, the maximum air temperature reached 20.6°C, and total sunshine lasted for 1 hour and 4 minutes.

 August 14, 2025: There were no recorded instances of catch and release of salmon or seatrout by Currane anglers. However, the following update is provided courtesy of Radio Kerry, Kerry County Council. Access to Lough Currane, Waterville. Plans for Lough Currane including a new slipway with integration of the pontoon onto the lakeside pier. €50,000. Today’s Currane weather chart reports light to gentle southwest winds, later shifting to south-southwest, with considerable cloud cover and high humidity. Yesterday's weather included 6.4mm of rainfall, a maximum air temperature of 21.5°C, and 1 hour and 6 minutes of sunshine.

 August 13, 2025: There were no reports of catch and release salmon or sea trout on this day. Therefore, we refer to the Currane anglers' weather chart. Winds were light from the southeast, later veering south. Notably, heavy showers occurred late in the afternoon and early evening.

 August 12, 2025: There were no reported catches of Salmon or Sea Trout by Currane anglers in any category. Weather conditions for the day featured light to calm winds, 9 hours and 3 minutes of sunshine, and a maximum air temperature of 23.2°C.

August 13, 2025: There were no reports of catch and release salmon or sea trout on this day. Therefore, we refer to the Currane anglers' weather chart. Winds were light from the southeast, later veering south. Notably, heavy showers occurred late in the afternoon and early evening.

 August 11, 2025: There were no reported catches or releases of Salmon or Seatrout by Currane anglers. The lack of activity may be attributed to the prevailing bright sunshine and minimal cloud cover. For reference, the weather chart for Currane indicated variable winds from the Southeast at gentle to moderate speeds. The previous day's meteorological data recorded 2.1 mm of rainfall, a maximum air temperature of 18.9°C, and only brief periods of sunshine.

 August 10, 2025: Five Currane boats were on the water today; however, no catches were reported despite consistent effort. Overall morale among anglers is declining, which aligns with current conditions. Regarding weather, there was a gentle to moderate south-westerly wind. Yesterday, rainfall measured 1.0mm, the maximum air temperature reached 17.2°C, and sunshine amounted to 3 minutes.

 August 9, 2025: Three Currane boats were active on the water, though no catch-and-release reports of Salmon or Seatrout were recorded. It was noted that at least one catch-and-release angler was present on the River Inny, however, no updates were provided from this individual. For the Currane and River Inny weather conditions, winds were Westerly, gentle to moderate, accompanied by reasonable cloud cover and occasional showers. Recorded data for yesterday include trace rainfall, a maximum air temperature of 14.7°C, and total sunshine duration of 5 hours and 7 minutes.
