29/6/14

30/6/14
30/6/14 Lough Currane was the quiet side on the last day of June, with one Sea Trout of 1 ½ lbs. Caught and released by Mr. Ian McMullan on the drift, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of www.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com Now we cut across to the Southside to www.lakelandshouse.com fly department, Joep from Holland caught 2 Sea Trout ranging in the 1 ½ lbs class, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Frank Donnelly of www.lakelandshouse.com  Wind SE fresh with reasonable cloud cover. Now to Frank’s backdate department, on Saturday 28th of June Mr. Michael Heery of Dublin while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Frank Donnelly, caught 3 Sea Trout, all in the 1 ½ lbs class.

29/6/14 Straight to the backdate department, in the past week, Local Gillie Mr. Roger Baker of www.cloghvoola.com caught a fine Grilse on the troll and 1 Sea Trout on the drift. Now back to today’s action. Mr. Antony Avogadri caught a fine Grilse on the troll, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of www.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com and for the rest of my Noble Anglers they either failed to catch my Honorable Game fish or they definitely failed to report their catches. Wind W light to calm and sunny.

28/6/14

28/6/14 Bright sunshine and flat calm conditions were the order of the day as my Noble fly Anglers waited for wind, as the iron men trolled by, grinning as they went past the redundant fly anglers, but in the end it was my Noble Game fish that had the last laugh on the day shift.

27/6/14

27/6/14 Mr. Martin Burn of Dublin, caught his first 1½ lbs. Sea Trout on the fly today, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Frank Donnelly of www.lakelandshouse.com and may it be the first of many. Staying with the Sea Trout, Mr. Phil Staniforth of the UK, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy of www.fishingwithdom.com caught 3 lbs Sea trout on the fly, which he sportingly put back to fight another day. On the weather front, flat calm for the most of the day with heavy showers.

26/6/14 Internet down last night sorry for this

26/6/14 Its Mr. Phil Staniforth of the UK and Waterville and his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy of www.fishingwithdom.com  that take all the headlines in the fly department, with 7 Grilse and four were returned and not satisfied with that, they topped that with 9 Sea Trout, which were also returned. On a personal note I would like to apologise to the both of them for not taking their photo but I was literally locked in with the trees being cut all around me at home, as you can see by the pictures, but with any luck I might have their picture sent to me. Dominic reported that the wind was in the East, and as luck would have it they were the only ones to record a feast.

Rene, Frank, Erni
Mr. O. Blaze
23/6/14 Before we get to today’s facts, its straight to the apology department, in the past few days I have spelt renowned Luxemburg fly Anglers name wrong, so lets put the record straight, it’s Erni not Ernie, sorry for this, and staying with Erni and his good friend Rene, they had a fantastic days manipulation with their fly roads with 2 Grilse in the 4 to 5 lbs class and toped that with 6 Sea Trout ranging from 1 ½ up to 4 lbs and returned four Sea Trout, and their Gillie Mr. Frank Donnelly of www.lakelandshouse.com was telling me they also lost a few nice fish. Now we head to the North side and the trolling department, Mr. O. Blaze, from Switzerland, caught a fine 5 lbs. Grilse on the troll, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com Wind N light with good cloud cover at times.
