28/2/15 Just one boat ventured out from Waterville Boats and at watervilleboats@gmail.com first thing this morning and within a hour My Noble Angler had to batten down the hatches, head into land because all hell let lose with a wild SW blowing down the lake as you can see by the picture they tell the story of the day.

27/2/15 Again the weather takes the headlines with a strong SW wind. There was only one Boat reported out from the North Side, fishing out of Waterville Boats and at watervilleboats@gmail.com and no reports of any rod benders. Wind as already stated and overcast with heavy showers.

Happy Birthday Glenda 

26/2/15 Lough Currane was on the quiet side in all departments, be it fish or angler. To be honest it would be nice to see a few more boats out there because you can be dam sure they won’t take a Black Russian, they prefer a Hairy Mary. Wind NW and gusty with a mixture of rain and hailstones. On the Breaking News front, I would like to wish Glenda Powell World Champion Fly Fisher a very Happy Birthday for tomorrow and that’s all from www.loughcurrane.com and the Salmon and Sea Trout Readers and all the good People of Ireland.

25/2/15 There were four boats out this day and they all came home the same way they went out with an empty boat, as they looked up to the heavens the raindrops kept falling as the Wild Atlantic Salmon laid below in the flow of the great Currane. Wind West moderate and overcast light misty rain.

24/2/15 May have not been batten down the hatches me harties, but there was still a strong NW wind blowing with heavy showers and no Anglers were seen manipulating their Flies or Lures or pontificating their next move and I am sure if you had gone by my Noble Anglers they would of given  you the finger hopefully the index not the middle finger.

23/2/15 It was batten down the hatches me harties this day, as the anglers looked on at a raging Lough Currane with a strong NW wind with violent gusts and it wasn’t long before they headed to the Bar and talking of the one that got away. Wind as already stated with a mixture of rain, hale and snow.

22/2/15 Lough Currane was on the wild side with a strong NW blowing and very few boats out and going by the metrological service of www.met.ie  there is worse to come with an orange alert in place, so if there is no report up tommrow you will know my net is down.
