31/7/2026.The Currane anglers were all quiet this day, not a whisper, not a murmur, not even a tale of the one that nearly got away.  30/7/2026, My Noble Currane anglers were all quiet on the Western Front today, so straight we go to the Currane weather chart. The wind was variable from the North, later veering NNW and NW, drifting under light cloud but mostly clear skies. As for yesterday’s weather, Rainfall: 3.8 mm, Maximum air temperature, 19.1°C, Sunshine, 1 hour and 3 minutes. Now, the Mad Fisherman invites you to his Cinema, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.

29/7/2026. The Currane anglers were quiet today; in fact, the phone was as quiet as a lamb dozing in the shade. On the weather front, we had light winds drifting across the lake, followed by light showers.

 28/7/2026. My apologies again for the delay in today’s report. All I can say is that my WhatsApp was as silent as the lamb, no reports of C&R Salmon or Sea Trout coming from any quarter. As for the Currane angler’s weather chart, wind East, light.

No reports from the Currane anglers today, hardly surprising after yesterday’s heartbreak, but that doesn’t mean my Noble Salmon wasn’t quietly procured. As for the weather, a gentle W wind, later veering WSW, with overcast skies and a touch of misty rain.Yesterday’s weather, Rainfall: 0.3 mm, Max air temperature: 17.9°C Sunshine: a grand total of 6 minutes

 26/7/2026. Apologies for the delay in today’s report, so let’s get straight to it. There was just one Currane boat out and, sadly, no word of any C&R from the lone angler. On the weather front: a moderate NW wind kept the lake honest. And now, to all you Mayo Currane anglers who have been waiting 75 long years to lift the Sam Maguire, congratulations to you all. A mighty day for the Green and Red.

25/7/2026. Just one Currane boat out and no reports of any C&R which is not surprising considering the lake is low and talking of low today there was a seagull standing in the middle of the Butler Pool contemplating and what, I couldn’t tell you, you could say the Seagull was as quiet a the Currane angler. Now straight for the Currane anglers weather chart, wind moderate WNW and overcast all day. Yesterday’s weather, amount of rainfall, trace, maximum air temperature 19.3°C, amount od sunshine 4 hours 3 minutes.
