23/8/2026. No reports from the Currane anglers today, and to be fair it’s hardly shocking, the lake is so low you’d nearly need a periscope to spot a salmon. As for the conditions, they weren’t exactly singing the angler’s anthem either: a Light to Gentle variable wind doing a full tour of the compass, ESE, SE, SSW, SW, and not a cloud in sight to give any hope of cover. Still, as I always say, just because nothing was reported doesn’t mean some quiet Currane angler didn’t sneak out and produce a wild fish while the rest of us were scratching our heads. Yesterday’s weather, Amount of rainfall 0.0mm, maximum air temperature 18.3°C, amount of sunshine 8 hours and 8 minutes.
