21/4/16

US Angler Mr. Peter Thornton
21/4/16 Lough Currane came up with the goods again, all in the trolling department and first in the striking zone was US angler and no stranger to the Waterville Fishery, was Mr. Peter Thornton, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Michael O’Sullivan of Waterville boats and at watervilleboats@gmail.com caught a cracker of a Salmon in the 9 lbs. Class and on a personal not I would like to apologize to Peter and Michael for not coming down to take the photo, but sadly had trouble starting my bike and you can say without any fear of contradiction the paparazzi failed miserably in his duties but going by the photo that Peter sent who the hell needs the paparazzi. Talking of ones failings, I forgot to mention the other night that fine Specimen Sea Trout that Mr. Tom Murphy caught, it was the first Specimen Sea Trout to be caught on the fly this season so a belated congratulations. Now back today's trolling, also in good form was Kenmare angler Mr. Dick Elder, while fishing with the fly man Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy of www.fishingwithdom.com caught a fine Salmon in the 8 lbs. Class. Wind NE light and overcast.
