19/2/18 Lough Currane was all quiet on the SW front, so on that note we will head straight to the action down stream to the World Famous Butler Pool and at www.watervillegolflinks.ie Where Local fly only Angler Mr. Kevin O’Shea, who has taken all the limelight so far this season and continued that trait today on the Pool when he caught himself a cracker of a 9 lbs. Salmon on the fly, and not satisfied with that, Kevin headed straight to the Waterville Inn to be presented with the Paddy Carey Memorial Cup by the Landlord of the Waterville Inn Mr. Damian Duff  this evening for catching the first Salmon of 2018 on the 8/2/18 and staying in the Cup department, Local Angler Mr. Jim Sayers was presented with Waterville Inn Sea Trout Cup again by the Landlord of the Waterville Inn Mr. Damian Duff and at damianduff1@gmail.com for the Biggest Sea Trout in 2017 caught on Lough Derriana, which weighed in at 6.68 lbs. Wind SW then veered NW light to fresh. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 10.4mm. Maximum air temperature 11.9c.
