There was fine 2.5lbs Seatrout caught on the fly by Mr. Nigel Henshaw and his good friend Mr. Trevor Dewberry from the UK also caught a fine 2lbs Seatrout, fishing with their Gillie Mr. Michael O’Sullivan and in the Salmon department Mr. Neil O’Shea reported to me that an angler fishing on his own caught a Salmon on the troll and he also reported that there were one or two Trout caught by other anglers. Wind first thing this morning SE then veered S light to fresh. With reasonable cloud cover and very warm, max air temperature 19.7c and talking of temperatures, I was reading on http://www.loughcurrane.com/ our Manger and
commander- in- chief, Mr. Trevor Stafford Esq. is reporting that the temperature in the Commeragh River rose to 14 degrees.

There was a fine 9lbs Salmon caught on the troll by Mr. Dennehy in a hired out boat, in the Seatrout department an angler caught a fine 3lbs 8oz Seatrout on the fly, in a hired out boat. amount of rainfall yesterday was 20.4mm.

There was some great action on Ireland's Premier Seatrout Lake today, yes you have it, the record Seatrout was broken to day, when a 12lbs 13.57oz Seatrout was caught on the troll out at the Black Rocks on a Perch Rapala, by Mr. Liam Ellis of Cork, and if want to know what the old record was, go to http://www.irish-trophy-fish.com/ and download my Noble Seatrout, and in the Salmon department, Mr. Baller of the UK and fishing out of http://www.butlerarms.com/ caught a fine Salmon on the troll with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea

The Bank holiday weekend got off to a good start, with two Salmon caught, first in my striking zone is Mr. Gerry O’Connor, who caught a fine 9lbs Salmon on the troll with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea, also in good form was Gerry O’Sullivan who also caught a 9lbs Salmon on the troll, and in the Seatrout department Mr. Tony O’Sullivan caught a 4lbs Seatrout.

There was first class action on Waterville lake today, first in the striking zone with a 7.5lbs caught on the troll were guests fishing with Mr. Brod O'Sullivan, next in the rod bending department were Ted and Ildko Weber with a fine 9lbs Salmon caught on the troll, and just for the record they also lost one Salmon on the fly, they were fishing with their Gillie Mr. Frank Donnelly, and last but not least was Mr. Heinz Strappmen of Germany, who caught a fine fresh Salmon also caught on the troll.

There was a fine 7lbs salmon caught on the troll by local gillie Mr. Dominic Mc Gillicuddy , and on the weather front, there was light rain all afternoon, amount of rainfall 9.4mm,Wind SE fresh with the odd strong gust.

There was some great action on Lough Currane today, I will start in the salmon department, first in the striking zone was Mr. Rob Wasmuth of the UK and Waterville, who caught a fine 8lbs Salmon on the troll with his Gillie Mr. Michael O’Sullivan, also in good form was local Gillie Mr. Bob Priestley who caught a 10lbs Salmon on the troll on the south side, but catch of the day goes to Mr. Clancy, who caught the first Grilse this season, caught this morning and finished the day off with a fine Seatrout of 5lbs 5oz, fishing with his gillie Mr. Sean Brain. Wind S light to fresh with reasonable cloud cover and talking of cloud cover there are signs that rain is on the way? which will be no harm, because Lough Currane is in need of liquid refreshment.

There were two Salmon caught on the troll on the day shift Mr. Axel Zurbugge of Germany caught a 10lbs Salmon on the troll with his Gillie Sylvester Donnelly. on the evening shift Mr. Richard Blacke of the UK fishing with his gillie Sean Brain also caught a 10lbs Salmon on the troll and just for the record both fish were caught on the north side.
