Belgium Angler Mr. Nico Goossens caught a 7lbs Salmon on the troll with his gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy, in the Fly department and catch of the day goes to Mr. Ken Towner of the UK and Waterville who caught a 9lbs Salmon, while drifting out at the Black Rocks. In the Sea Trout department Mr. Gerry O’Sullivan of Cork, caught a nice Sea trout in the 2 to3lbs class, now we head down stream to the famous Butler Pool and @ www.watervillegolflinks.ie Ernie, from Luxembourg caught a 8.5lbs Salmon on the fly and just for the record Ernie was fishing out of www.lakelandshouse.com  Amount of rainfall 1.3mm, max air temperature 13.2c.

 Lough Currane was in good form again with Mr. Junior Scully catching a lightening fresh 9lbs Salmon on the troll and a guest caught a 6lbs Salmon on the troll fishing with his Gillie Mr. Vincent O’Sullivan and of www.vincentsfishing.com also in good was Mr. Brod O’Sullivan of Stella Maris guest House Waterville, who also caught a fine Salmon on the troll, but catch of the day goes to Mr. Malachy Travers of Wexford, who caught a fine specimen Sea Trout on the troll, just under 7lbs fishing with his Gillie Mr. Frank Donnelly of www.lakelandshouse.com Wind NW and overcast with odd light shower.

Sorry for the delay all blogs were out.

My Noble Gentlemen the Salmon were in a lethargic mood after yesterdays excitement. Wind W then veered NW light to fresh with bright sunshine.

Where do I start, I will tell you at the beginning, and what a cracker of a day on Lough Currane, and the Bungalow takes the head lines with Mr Kevin O’Connor catching a 7lbs Salmon on the troll, then his Brother Brian got in on the action with a cracker of a Salmon of 11lbs5ozs also caught on the troll, and last but not least Brother number three Mr. Brendan O’Connor, got in on the act as well with a 10lbs Salmon again caught on the troll with their Gillie the one and only Mr. Junior Scully Esq. Staying with the Bungalow Mr. John Baller of the UK and fishing out www.butlerarms.com caught a fine 9lbs Salmon on the troll with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea and of www.oshealoughcurrane.com Now we will continue with the action with Mr. Mick Morgan of the UK who caught a 9lbs Salmon on the troll with his Gillie Mr. Michael O’Sullivan and @ watervilleboats@gmail.com Now to the fly department Mr. Dave Ecclestone of the UK caught a fine Salmon on the fly in the Mouth of the Commeragh with his Gillie Mr. Vincent O’Sullivan and @ www.vincentsfishing.com now back on the troll Mr. Max Elenberg  caught a 8lbs Salmon with his Gillie Mr. John Young, now we head across to the south side in Copal, Mr. Ken Towner of the UK and Waterville reported to me that he caught a Grilse and sportingly put it back to fight another day. Wind WNW light to fresh with reasonable cloud cover, just for the record there were 4 Salmon lost as well.

It was a Wild Bill Hickok day on Lough Currane, but there were reports of one Wild Bill venturing out to the Mouth of the Commeragh. Wind SW Strong and overcast

All fishing stations on Lough Currane were closed due to Gale force wind coming from the South, just for matter of interest there was 43.6mm of rainfall yesterday
