9 lbs Sea Trout caught by Mr. John Allen

14 1/2 lbs Salmon caught by Tam

23/3/14 There was some great action on Lough Currane in all departments, first to the Salmon department, Mr. Liam Ellis of Waterville logged his second Salmon caught on the troll, weighing in at 8 lbs, staying with the south side, Local Gillie Mr. Frank Donnelly of www.lakelandshouse.com also caught a 8 lbs Salmon on the troll late this afternoon and considering Frank, only went out after 4 pm and he was home just before 6 pm. Not bad what. Now we head for the north side and Salmon of the day and that goes to  Mr. Anulal Hitmiang  or as we call him Tam, of Waterville, who caught a cracker of a Salmon on the troll weighing in at 14 ½ lbs. Now we head back across the Lake to Coffee’s Bay and Game Fish of the day and that goes to Mr. John Allen of the UK, who caught the first specimen Sea Trout of 2014 weighing in at 9 lbs, caught on the troll. On the weather front there was bright sunshine all day with very little wind.
