C&R Sea Trout
I will start today’s notes on congratulating our ex Manager Mr. John Murphy, on getting his degree in Marine Biology and on behalf of all the Anglers of the Waterville Fishery, we wish you good luck in your new adventure. Now down to business. Again Marine Biologist and local Gillie Mr. John Murphy and his client were in good form in the C&R department, when they returned a fine Sea Trout to fight another day. Also in good form in the Sea Trout department was Mr. Ralph Lymer of the UK who caught a fine 5 lbs. Sea Trout on the fly, fishing with his Gillie Mr. John Young. Now for a mixture of Sea Trout and Salmon, Mr. Liam Ellis of Waterville caught a 4 lbs Grilse and finished his day off with a fine Sea Trout in the 2 lbs class, all caught on the fly. Now to the total Salmon department and yes you have it, Mr. Peter Glover takes the honours with 2 Grilse, ranging from 4 lbs. up to 5 lbs all caught on the fly, while fishing with his gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy of Wind the same as yesterday and overcast.
