There was fine action on the Waterville Fishery today. We will start on the famous Butler Pool and of Mr. Phil Lentelink caught a fine Salmon on the fly and his good Lady took Center stage in the photo department on his behalf while he and His Gillie Mr. Vincent O’Sullivan and of headed up stream to Lough Currane to the Sea Trout department and it wasn’t long before Phil’s Fly rod was bent double in a fine 5 lbs. 2 oz Sea Trout, in total they caught 5 Sea Trout, and just for the record, Phil caught his Sea trout on A Golden olive Bumble and tied by Mr. Ken Towner of Waterville and the UK. Now back to the Salmon department. Mr. Andrew Wishart of Northern Ireland and his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy of were in good form again when they caught a fine Salmon on the troll, and in their C&R Sea Trout fly department, they caught 5 Sea Trout ranging from juniors up to 5 lbs. Mr. Ken Towner of Waterville and the UK, Mr. Dave Eccelstone of Waterville and UK, and Mr. John Toothill of the UK, caught a total of 8 Sea Trout of which there was one in the 3 lbs class and I leave the best to last because John caught his first ever Sea Trout on Lough Currane weighing in at 2 lbs. and may it be the first of many. Now to the Bungalow, Mr. William Timmermans and friends, fishing with their Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of caught 5 Sea Trout ranging from Juniors up to 2 lbs.
