Arthur White on the 20/5/15
First Grilse of 2015
Sion with his C&R Sea Trout yesterday
23/5/15 Lough Currane was on the tamer side today, but at least there were a few rod benders in the Sea Trout department. UK angler Mr. Arthur White, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Bob Priestley, was in good form again with 2 Sea Trout ranging from 2 lbs.8 oz and 1 lbs.12 oz. UK angler, Mr. Marcel Guillou, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Dominic McGillicuddy of caught a fine Sea Trout of 4 lbs. Staying in the UK Anglers department, Mr. Michael Smith of the UK caught a fine Sea Trout 4 ½ lbs. on the drift, while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of there is a very good Chinese saying, what honourable Son could do yesterday, honourable Father can do today and the truth of the pudding is in the eating of. Local Gillie Mr. Sion Brain of reported that early this morning that he saw a good few Sea Trout, but alas they wouldn’t rise to his flies and also gave me a diplomatic verbal thrashing for not putting up his C&R 4 lbs Sea Trout on the Blog , I stand corrected and as you can see I have put the record straight. Wind West light with good cloud cover and humid.
