Lesley's first ever Salmon
Lesley on dry land
25/7/15 The conditions first thing this morning were only fit for trolling with bright sunshine and there was not enough wind to blow out a candle, so you don’t have be a rocket scientist that trolling was the only way forward and one Lady Angler took full advantage of theses conditions and that was Ms Lesley Bishop from Shank Hill Dublin and fishing out of www.butlerarms.com caught a fine 7 lbs. 1 ozs Salmon on the troll, while fishing with her Gillie Mr. Vincent O’Sullivan of www.vincentsfishing.com and just for the record that was Lesley’s first salmon and may it be the first of many. Now to the Sea Trout department. Mr. John Magee from Northern Ireland, fishing with his Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com caught a fine 4 lbs. Sea Trout on the fly and for the rest of the fly fishing community there was little to no action, but to be fair it wasn’t exactly warm out there even though there was good cloud cover all afternoon with light rain around 4pm with a good breeze from the South.
