12/9/16 Seatrout update

12/9/16 I Must apologeise for the last 48 hours and sadly the reports will be sketchy for at least another 48 hours ? So lets go back in time to Saturday 10th As you know the annual  2016 ‘Currane Championship’ Waterville’s Sea Trout Catch and Release Fly-fishing Competition, organised this year by The Waterville Lakes & Rivers Trust, was in full swing, you all know the results but her are some photos of the anglers before they set out for theirs days manipulations and the photos of the presentation of the winning competitors. Now we head for the hired out boat department of www.Lakelandshouse.com  Mr. Noel Bennett from Dublin with his Son Conall caught 9 Juniors. Also in good form in his hired out boat from www.lakelandshouse.com was Mr. Martin Kearney caught a nice few Juniors up to 1 ¾ lbs. Mr. Greg Long was in excellent form with 24 Juniors, Mr. John Doyle, who also was in good form with his fly rod, caught 6 Juniors. Staying in the hired out Boat department of www.lakelandshouse.com Mr. Stefan Kuth and his good friend Werner, caught 6 Juniors. Now we head up to the upper Lakes and Lough Derriana, Mr. Graham Elswood and Mr. Bill Hayse, while fishing with their Gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com caught 7 Sea Trout up to 5 ½ lbs. and all released. So you can say without any fear of contradiction all Anglers were satisfied with their performances especially The Sea Lodge Hotel for their great dinner and looked after all we anglers, so on behalf of the Waterville Lakes & Rivers Trust Thank you for a great night. Now for today’s facts, In the C&R department, Mr. Billy Dickson of Bristol while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Tom O’Shea of www.flyfishingatloughcurrane.com caught 4 Juniors. Staying withe the C&R department, Mr.Graham Ellwood while fishing with his Gillie Mr. Neil O'Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com caught 9 Sea Trout up to 2 lbs. Wind West light to calm. Now we cut across the lake to the South Side and the hired out boat department of www.lakelandshouse.com Mr. Noel Ross and his good friend, from Dublin, while fly fishing on the drift, caught 4 Seatrout ranging from junior class up to 2 1/2 lbs.
