5/6/17
5/6/17 Lough Currane was on the quiet side after yesterdays brilliant action, but to be honest that’s not surprising with a NE wind blowing and rain pouring down for the best part of the day and it was very cold with a maximum air temperature of 9c but felt like 6c. That ends the excuses for the Lough Currane anglers, so on that note we head upstream and to the Commeragh River and there was one angler manipulating his skill and needs no excuses because the angler in question, Mr Martin Coveny, caught and released a fine 6 lbs. Salmon and two Sea Trout for his efforts, so congratulations to Martin for keeping the Waterville Fishery flag flying high this June Bank holiday Monday. Yesterdays weather. Amount of rainfall 12 mm. Maximum air temperature 14.4c.
