14/9/17 There were just a few boats out this day on Lough Currane and yes you have it, they failed miserably in their duties in all departments and  a few lessons from tourist anglers wouldn’t do any harm and why do I say this? Well it stems from all the negative comments made today and I smell a touch of jealousy, obviously these great Anglers have caught more in a few days than you anglers have caught all season? And as the C&R angler says they don’t come into graze. Now for today’s weather, wind, going by the internet today it was coming from all directions but mainly NW with good cloud cover and the odd shower. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 7.0mm. Maximum air temperature 14.0c.

13/9/17 There were just one or two boats out manipulating the Waters of Lough Currane and going by my phone I’m sad to say they failed miserably in their Duties in all departments. On that note, we will head for the comments department and even though I say it myself the Hampshire professionals put it perfectly and I must admit its worth reading. Now to the Backdate department and the full facts and photos of the Belgium anglers trip to the Waterville Fishery so I will let Marc tell you all their facts. We’ve had a very challenging week on Currane, not at least for the very bad weather, fishing from September 5th to September 11th. One Salmon on the Butler Pool, two good Sea Trout ranging from  4 ½ lbs. up to 6 lbs. on Lough Currane, plus we also caught 12 juniors which we returned and a number of brownies also returned. Hope to come back next year. Wind NW fresh to strong and gusty with heavy showers. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 7.4mm. Maximum air temperature 15.6c.

12/9/17 Lough Currane was at a standstill by lunchtime,  what boats were out there called it a day and for good reason, there was a strong and wild SW wind blowing and come this evening it was storm force with www.met.ie  issuing a yellow warning and that sums up today’s action and I can say without any fear of contradiction my Noble anglers were completely exonerated  from failing in their duties in all departments. Wind as already stated and just for the record it made a fair bit of rain this afternoon. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 4.6 mm. Maximum air temperature  15.5c.

11/9/17 Waterville Boats and at watervilleboats@gmail.com again take all the Salmon and specimen Sea Trout headlines. We start with the Hampshire professionals and for good reason, Mr, Nigel Henshaw caught a fine Grilse on the fly and his fellow professional fly angler Mr. Peter Ruffle, finished their day off with another fine Grilse and just for the record their weights  were 4 and 5 lbs. respectively, Staying with Mr. Michael O’Sullivan of  Waterville Boats and at  watervilleboats@gmail.com Belgium anglers caught a fine 6 lbs plus Sea Trout on the fly, I will give you all the facts on the Belgium fishing Trip in tomorrow’s notes. Just for the record they make this annual trip to Waterville every year as do the Hampshire professionals. Now for quote of the day from the C&R Angler and his quote is as follows, Fish don’t come in to Graze! Wind NW fresh to strong and gusty with heavy showers. 10/9/17 A few boats ventured out first thing this morning, but come lunch time they called it a day, but as I say that one boat did dog it out for the day and drew a blank, but this didn’t stop the Hampshire Professionals from recording their Grand Slam, and that accolade goes to Hampshire Professional, Mr, Nigel Henshaw, and he did it in style with a cracker of a 9 lbs, Salmon caught on the fly, down stream on the World Famous Butler Pool and at www.watervillegolflinks.ie  and I tell you there is one hell of a party in the back of the Lobster Bar and in the words of the Hampshire Professionals and I qoute , we ain’t finished yet. Wind WNW wild at times with the heavy showers. Yesterdays weather, amount of raifall 5 mm. Maximum
air temperature 15.7c.

9/9/17 The Hampshire Professionals and Waterville Boats and at watervilleboats@gmail.com take all the Game Fishing headlines, Mr. Trevor Dewberry, Mr, Nigel Henshaw and Mr. Peter Ruffle, caught  2 grilse ranging from 4lbs up to 5lbs, with six brownies, and 3 juniors to 1½ lbs. Just for the record, juniors and browns were all returned. Now you can say these anglers didn’t fail miserably in their duties, lets hope they can make it a Grand slam tommrow, but going by the forecast it isn’t looking good with www.met.ie  putting Kerry on a yellow warning and forecasting W to NW winds gusting up to 110 Km/h and if this is the case, the high stool will be the first port of call for my Noble Anglers. 8/9/17 All the C&R Sea Trout and Brown Trout fly headlines come from Waterville Boats and at watervilleboats@gmail.com So straight to the anglers from Belgium fishing in a hired out from Waterville Boats and at watervilleboats@gmail.com caught a cracker of a Sea Trout in the 4 lbs. plus class, staying at Waterville Boats and at watervilleboats@gmail.com  The Hampshire Professionals, Mr. Trevor Dewberry, Mr, Nigel Henshaw and Mr. Peter Ruffle, were in good form with 4 Sea Trout from junior class up to  2 ¼ lbs and six Brown Trout. For the rest of the Lough Currane Anglers they failed miserably in their duties. Wind NNW and gusty with heavy April Showers in September. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 4.6 mm. Maximum air temperature 15.8c.
